Loved It!!

This was much a better book than the first in the series (IMHO). The hero was everything that the first hero wasn't. He kind and very thoughtful towards the heroine. He did punish the heroine a lot (annoying me sometimes because he kept pushing her so much) but he loved her and always wanted what was best for her. He actually spoke with her, tried to understand her fears and explained his reasoning to her most times unlike the hero in the first book whom I felt treated his wife like a toy. This couple had a much better relationship and the hero's patience and love helped the heroine a lot as she had major issues from her childhood.I am looking forward to Minnette's (hero's younger sister) with impatience now. I hope August is as kind and thoughtful(spanking notwithstanding) towards her as her brother has been(even with the spankings) towards his wife.

An 18th Century Romp

This the the 2nd book in the authors Properly Spanked series, which mixes historical romance with Domestic Discipline. Set just before the Regency period, this series follows the amorous adventures of a group of 4 aristocratic rake hells. This book features the Earl of Warren an affable gentleman whose sexual tastes involve Domination and submission and his bride, Josephine, a shy, troubled young woman who has grown up far from the drawing rooms of polite English society.The characters are engaging and the writing style elegant. There are some historic howlers, the term, sado-masochism would be unknown to the Earl, as it didn't come into usage for another century. Josephine is described as a Baroness with her own title and estate, although in reality in England, Female aristocrats could not inherit titles or property.Apart from these inaccuracies it's a thoroughly enjoyable, sexy novel. Warren's disciplinary measures may sometimes seem a little harsh at times but ultimately Josephine comes to love both the discipline and the man.

Buy the first in this series and then this one you won't regret your purchases!

This is the second in this series and I cannot wait for number three! In fact I came onto Amazon to download it and it isn't finished yet! Annabel Joseph really takes you into the era and the bedrooms of that time. Her characters are believable and well written. You are swept away with the tale which is romantic but hot, very hot! I loved this wild heroine Josephine and her Lord Warren, what a man! All I can say to you is read the first book in this series then buy this book you will not regret your purchases.
