A truly unique and magical storybook.

One of the best books you could buy your child: no cultural stereotypes, no silly rhymes, no moralising, no spider sandwiches. Just a simple story about kindness and friendship. There are no words, just images (and beautifully painted images at that), which means that you and/or your child can construct the story on your own. A spellbinding and wondrous journey you won't forget - our four-year-old loves it.

A fantastic book, but make sure you pick the right moment to 'read' it with your child.

It was my own fault that I didn't read the description of this book. There are no words in this book, just pictures. You have to make up the story yourself and discuss what is happening to the characters and why.It clearly says that in the product description and I would have noticed if I'd been paying more attention when book shopping.I sat down to 'read' this book with my son at the end of a long day when we were both a bit too tired for a book of this nature, unaware that there were no words and that I'd essentially be making up the story with him. This is the sort of thing you need to do when you both have the energy to really get into a discussion of what is going on with the characters, in order to do it justice.I still recommend the book and would buy others like it.
