Venetia - a classic

A feisty heroine with an interesting supporting cast, Venetia is a great read. The language can be a challenge if you've not read any Georgette Heyer before, but soon settles down in to its own rhythm. Venetia is a very likeable, intelligent, independent free-speaker, and she feels to me as if she were a modern woman who has been parachuted in to the end of the Georgian era, so frustrated is she by people telling her what to think and do. I really liked this book, it had more depth than previous GH books I have read. Worth a few hours of anyone's time.

It always amazes me how many different story lines Georgette Heyer finds to write about. I have read quiet a few of this writers work and find them most enjoyable.

Loved, loved, loved it!!

This is my favourite regency romance of all times. I can't describe how much I like it but it is my best read ever. Georgette Heyer is better than the best authors in the genre and this to me is her best!! I can never tire of re-reading this one :-)!!It's hard to think this author lived and died years before I was even born! She's a genius!
