I am disappointed with this book

Having read all the hype, I am disappointed with this book. It might be comprehensive but it is confusing, not just because of some typo errors but because of its rather loose use of terminology and occasionally crazy cross-referencing. Examples - Take the errors on the lettering system under "Personal Figure Variations" on page 42, the reference to a "basic front hip" and a "back basic hip" on page 667 (what are these??? - there is nothing in the index under "basic front hip", "front hip" or hip measurements and the chapter on measurements doesn't mention them). There is a dizzying jumping about from page to page to find the diagrams for measurements. The points of reference for these measurements (eg where exactly in the shoulder do I measure from?) are open to interpretation. I could go on... Honestly, how's a gal s'pposed to cope as a novice (to this particular method of patternmaking)? I blinked and missed or forgot the explanation for the "HBL" abbreviation and couldn't find it in the index either. There is no doubt a wealth of information in this book but I am afraid I have found it thoroughly frustrating.
