Amazing!

This book is simply amazing and I absolutely love it! It takes you through the learning of C# differently than any other book I have read. All other authors try to explain Collections and Arrays before telling you what Inheritance is which is a totally wrong approach. A collection is not just a Collection of items - it's far more complex and I love the order in which this author takes you through the book. It's different than any other C# book I have read and I think this is what I love the most about it.It doesn't go any deeper than it needs to go. Even though I have actually been programming for years I still find this books truly amazing for how it goes about teaching others. The author is not exhausting every little detail he possibly could in each chapter and that's what the best part about this book is. It allows you to quickly move on to the next chapter based on what you have just read in the previous one.I wouldn't recommend this book to a complete "newbie". If you have not written a program before maybe start with something more basic like (wrox's is great for that) - and then get this book as it will help you utilize your skills - those most important. Everything else you will be able to figure out on your own.

I finally "get" programming

This is the first book that allowed me to finally get programming. I've tried many other books and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't just grasp the concept of programming. This book however, helped me finally understand programming and the C# language.I was for giving up when I delved into this book. The things I liked:-The style and layout of the book. I hate a book that looks unappealing where code is cramped in everywhere. This book seems to just space everything out in a nice visual way for the reader. (I hated C# Head First mishmash of a book).-The order in the way the author teaches you the programming concepts is excellent. He doesn't talk about arrays and inheritance until later on in the book.All in all this is my favourite programming book and I'd advise a purchase if you are interested in C# and Visual Studio.I must say this book is not for a complete beginner. I'd advise some knowledge of variables and methods etc beforehand.

Most understandable technical read!

For someone who best learns from practical training and application, this book so far is probably one of the best "understandable" technical reads so far!
