Very disappointing

I was reading this book like a train, turning the pages rapidly, the plot for what appeared to be a great drama/thriller was being formed - then I was at the end of what seemed like a very short book and nothing had happened, all the build up was just ignored, swept under the carpet and apart from throwing a few sex scenes in, for what seemed like effect, the story went nowhere.

I'm a big fan of Coelho and have read everything he has published in English but wish I hadn't wasted my time with this one. Maybe the translation to blame but the Coelho magic is missing in this novel.
