First impressions [second impressions now too]

[EDITED]First of all the book is rather thin (100 pages) and the font rather big (children book size). Having read most of the book I have now somewhat mixed feelings. On one hand, at times, it covers over and over again the same facts about positive aspects of signing that you can easily read on their website, on the other, it eventually gets to the point when it gives some background, tips and instructions on how to proceed to practise. I still would expect it to be more in-depth.Secondly, there is no free DVD included with the book. You need to order it on-line at cover shipping and handling fee of 5 USD. If they really want to be so kind as to provide additional materials, why not include the DVD with the book (or at least provide downloadable DVD image), especially that there is just some B&W illustrations in the book.I guess at this price you sort of get what you paid for, but I would rather pay a bit more, get my DVD and have more comprehensive guide and no need to check back for other merchandise from the Publisher to have all I need. That being said, you can get by with only this book to teach your child signing.. or so I think.

The book makes an interesting read but is very Americanised. There are things that i will take from this, but some that i did not fid useful. The book did not include the DVD as advertised in the cover.
